BCBA, BCaBA, IBA & RBT Supervision
One on One Supervision
Service Description
Effective supervision has been found to predict various client outcomes, including quicker goal attainment and treatment efficacy. One-on-one supervision is a supervisory approach where a BCBA supervisor works directly with an individual supervisee, with their primary focus on this individual. A combination of the direct and molar models, the primary purpose of one-on-one supervision is to guide the behavior of individual supervisees to ensure they adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code, make continuing progress toward the attainment of professional practice competence, and meet the required number of ongoing verification hours. Measures for success include the supervisee’s acquisition of competencies through continuous assistance and feedback, as demonstrated by successful performance on direct observations as they conduct their behavior analytic tasks. Personalized feedback assists each supervisee in identifying and acquiring professional competencies in the four content areas: client-centered responsibilities, legal and ethical responsibilities, supervision responsibilities, and research and inter-professional development responsibilities. This is done by setting objectives for learning and practicing the competencies needed to perform as a BCaBA or BCBA or IBA (International Behavior Analyst).
